The revolving restaurant door goes round and round.
Last week, Sam Kacar shut the doors to his Branica of Kirkwood to make way for a bigger incarnation of Sapore (it slated to open in November). The former Sapore will become Gist, a farm to table restaurant co-owned by Mike Miller and Chef Ben Anderson.
Now yesterday, Sam Kacar hung a sign at 1603 McCausland (the former home of Mihalis Chophouse), announcing his latest, Pan D'Olive, a restaurant focusing on the flavors of the Mediterranean, predominantly "Italian, Spanish, and Moroccan," according to Kacar (below). (A hat tip to Ian Froeb, the first scribe to make note of the sign.)
Pending the usual inspections and procurement of liquor licenses, look for Pan D'Olive to open in November.
