The Good, The Bad & The Lovely

Shopping the latest trend is fun, especially when you can find something of-the-moment that is both local and inexpensive. All things green are slowly creeping in for both summer and fall, as the color du jour makes its way from minty fresh to royal and jewel-toned. While you might not be in the market for a stunning, sequined, floor-length gown, you might find it a little easier to justify a mid-summer splurge of less than $50. The green-studded handbag ($46, above) from Andrea’s Boutique (1145 N. Lafayette, 314-831-7500) is just  bright enough for use as a summertime staple, but the silvery spikes and deeper tone save it from being tossed to the wayside once the leaves start to turn.
