From the red carpet to the blogosphere, ombre hair is taking over as one of the year’s must-have hair trends. More than just a good excuse to grow out your roots, ombre is a fun way to spice up your hair color without sticking to the usual highlight or lowlight regimen.
For the natural blonds out there, go for a natural ombre look with darkened chestnut roots and leave your natural blond tips—it’s much less upkeep than going completely dark brown and then dying the tips a lighter shade. Fair warning, you may feel the need to wash your hair more often due to your new darker roots, so be sure not to go too heavy on the conditioner.
