The remarkable efforts of nurses in St. Louis often go unnoticed. They consistently exhibit selfless care, compassion, and service. To honor these dedicated nurses, St. Louis Magazine is hosting its 17th annual Excellence in Nursing Awards, presented by BJC HealthCare and Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing. Nominations are reviewed by a distinguished selection committee, listed below. Winners will be announced at a dinner and awards ceremony on June 4, and featured in the June/July issue. A complimentary ticket is included for honorees. Tables are available for purchase.

Nomination Rules & Guidelines
Eligibility
- The nominee must have studied in a formal nursing program.
- All nurses must be currently licensed, practicing Registered Nurses (RN) and work at least part time.
- Nominee cannot be in active disciplinary action. Applicants may be vetted by the Missouri Board of Nursing.
Nomination
- A completed nomination form.
- Curriculum vitae or biographical data, detailing educational background, work experience, publications, community contributions, honors and awards. (If not supplied with nomination form, SLM will attempt to contact the nominee for this information.)
- A detailed description of the nominee’s compliance with the established criteria for the award. Additional information—including the quality of the nomination and CV—may assist the selection committee.
Deadline
All nominations must be submitted online no later than November 7, 2025 November 19, 2025 (deadline extended!) at 11:59 p.m. to be considered. Please complete the nomination form.
