North America’s biggest interactive dinosaur event, Jurassic Quest, is migrating to St. Charles this fall

Tickets are on sale now for the prehistoric adventure’s stop at The Family Arena Oct. 11–13.

Have a kid who just can’t get enough dinos? This October might be the big bang of their year. 

Jurassic Quest, North America’s biggest interactive dinosaur event, is coming to St. Charles’ The Family Arena (2002 Arena Parkway, St. Charles) Oct. 11–13 in all its prehistoric glory. The 10-year-old spectacle gives guests “the chance to walk among the nation’s biggest herd of photorealistic dinosaurs,” according to the press release.

Here locally for a three-day span, the event is designed to “transport families through 165 million years of the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods to roam among true-to-life versions of the creatures that once ruled the Earth.”

The hands-on activities at the event include:

  • A scientifically-accurate, interactive dinosaur herd 
  • Live dinosaur shows
  • Large, rideable dinosaurs
  • Interactive science and art activities, including a fossil dig
  • Real fossil exhibit featuring T-Rex teeth, a triceratops horn, and a life-size dino skull
  • “Tricera-tots” soft play area 
  • Bounce houses and inflatable attractions
  • Photo opportunities, face painting, and more

Jurassic Quest favorites include an interactive Raptor Training Experience, a baby dino petting experience, and a self-guided scavenger hunt to become a Jr. Dinosaur Trainer.

Jurassic Quest prides itself on its accuracy, stating that the production “works in collaboration with leading paleontologists to ensure each dinosaur is painstakingly replicated in every detail, from coloration to teeth size, to textured skin, fur or feathers, drawing on the latest research about how we understand dinosaurs looked and moved.”

Tickets are available online now, and though on-site tickets will be available, advance purchase is recommended. General admission, at $22 per person, includes the dinosaur exhibits, arts and crafts activities, and live dinosaur shows. Kids Ultimate tickets, meanwhile, cost $36 per child and offer unlimited access to stationery and walking dinosaur rides, fossil dig, and inflatable attractions. 

Children under 2 are free, the dinosaur experience is self-paced, and strollers are permitted. The event will be open noon–6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m.–6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
